How does it work?
Pretty much like all our clients the owner of Bourne House wanted an easy to manage efficient system. He didn’t want to deal with deliveries and wanted to reduce their footprint along with their fuel bills. The ground source heat pump system we designed and installed provides both. Compared to other forms of heating available to them, it was the most cost effective and efficient.
The ground floor has underfloor heating with the second floor taking advantage of both underfloor and radiators[JH1] .
We were limited for space so we designed a borehole array, which allowed us to quickly and efficiently install the collector that was capable of providing the energy required for the house.
With the heating efficiencies providing cost savings and the RHI payments, our client will have fully paid for his system within 7 years.
